FMP, AddressBook and iCal30 May 2008 15:04 GMT4
As is well known, FileMaker Ltd.'s new Bento database for Leopard
directly accesses Leopard's built-in Address Book and iCal.
Is there a way to do the same through FileMaker Pro 9 Advanced - on
Leopard?
Server license transfer - legal?30 May 2008 12:36 GMT3
Is it permissible to transfer the license for a copy of Filemaker
Server from one person to another?  In other words, if I buy a full
(not an upgrade) version of Server 9, can I transfer my old copy of
Server 8.5 to someone else, since I no longer have any use for it?
How to Send a Formatted Email30 May 2008 05:23 GMT8
I've got a script that uses the Send Mail step to grab text from
various fields and send an email via the user's default mail program.
The text in FMP is formatted, but when it shows up in their drafts or
outbox, it's plain text.  Is there a way to retain formatting?  This

Field names in layout mode28 May 2008 00:51 GMT5
Here is a pesky little problem.  I'm a reasonably experienced Filemaker
Developer (since 5.0) but this has me stumped.
I have taken over development duties on a database that was created by
someone else.   When I go into layout mode, the field names do not

I'm a filemaker user for many years. Each time when a new version emerges,
the first thing I look for is charts. I really cannot understand why charts

Furhermore, I find the use of plug-ins like xmCHART or ...

Filemaker Newbie26 May 2008 06:09 GMT3
I've been using MS Access for the last 10 years and have decided that
it's time to take a look at Filemaker.  I see that there's a free
trial available.  Where do I start?  Are there any really good books
or websites for a beginner?
