Is it possible without a plug-in to script an import and use the value
of a field to direct Filemaker to import a file.
If the filename is "file.txt", i've tried both of these things and
they didn't work :

I have a field that uses "Radio button set" for input
with values from a Yes-No-List.
Before, I use  "Y"  and   "N" in the Yes-No-List
when I change to "Yes" and "No", all data

Using FMP 8.5, I need to be able to calculate out every Saturday and
Sunday in a month and store those dates in a database.  What is the
best approach to do this ?

The Status(Current Record ID) function appears to return an
incrementally larger number each time a record is started.Is that 100%
reliable, that is, that is always a larger number? I could really use
this in a sorting problem.

Ok, I know it's been awhile since the last time I was here.  My
company switched from FMP to SQL.  Doh!  So, now I have all this SQL
crap floating around in my head, and I need to make a new FMP layout
on a system that has not yet been changed over.

I really like keyboard shortcuts and hotkeys.  These are things
Filemaker Pro doesn't offer much of, aside from the usual
ALT-[underscore] menu keys.  Yet, while I was googling the cdf
archives for info about hotkeys in FMP, I ran across this:

I have a job number that have several fields consisting of numbers and
letters.  One particular field has a drop down value list as such:
01 Deans Office
02 Alumni

I have a bunch of .txt files that I need to import but some of the
values of the text contain commas.
So a record might look like this.
ABC Company, Inc. | 123 Main Street | Anywhere |US| 00000

Does Status Current Record ID always return larger values when used as
an auto enter option? It would be very helpful to a sorting routine.
