My UDB database was ok when I installed FP3 to test things out.  After
installing FP3 the database gives me this message when I try to
connect to it for the first time:
$ db2 connect to c814db

I am confused.  Some parts of IBM's web site lead me to believe that
DB2 Connect is included in OS400/DB2, other parts of the web site show
me how much DB2 Connect costs.  Anyone know for sure?

  I have got some probems with APPLHEAPSZ DB parameter on DB2 v8.1.x.
  I try to make mass inserts into a table with a column specified as
   "generated always as identity" and I receive :
     COM.ibm.db2.jdbc.DB2Exception: [IBM][CLI Driver][DB2/NT] SQL0954C

 In reading through the DB2 documentation it isn't 100% clear to me
if the FCM parms only affect communications for partitioned databases
or if some or all of them also affect non-partitioned databases.
Please shed some light on this for me.  Thanks.

We are doing a comparison of DB2 and Oracle to replace our Informix

select Oracle vs DB2, but have not found some good reasons to select
