recovery on-line backups a question on logs29 Feb 2004 16:53 GMT1
I am right in assuming to recover a database where logretain is on.
That I only need the logs that are reported in the list history.. for
instance;
db2 list history backup since 20040228190050 for db trdb

I have db2 database installed in a Solaris machine. I am now running a
java program and trying to access the database.
I use java:db2//servername:portname/databasename  as the URL to

Hi when I try to run LIST ACTIVE DATABASES AT DBPARTITIONNUM <partnum>
or LIST ACTIVE DATABASES GLOBAL, I always get an error message. Does

How do I know how many times a particular statement was executed UDB V8 on Aix  527 Feb 2004 20:52 GMT3
The SNAPSHOT_STATEMENT table function gives the CPU used rows read etc
information. How do I know the total number of time the particular
statement was executed (as in snapshot_dyn_sql's num_executions)?
Also, is the value "STMT_USR_CPU_TIME_S"  etc cumulative?

When doing a UPDATE on a very large table it can take quite a long time due
to the commit/rollback option.
Is there any way on the client side to disable the commit/rollback option so
that UPDATE will make any changes
