i monitor my database with dbartisan and it shows 4 GB bufferpool heap
size
the size of all bufferpool is only 750MB. i do not understand how
dbartisan is showing 4 GB. is total size of bufferpool include

Normally I use the semicolon for statement delimiters in plain SQL
scripts (for DDL, simple DML etc.).
But inside SQL/PL I tend to use % or @ as statement delimiters. But
other people prefer other delimiters.

How can I list active users connected to database server in MS-DOS
shell environment. Is there any specific CLP command for this? We are
running DB2 ver 8.1.6.

On the forum at ibm.software.db2.udb it was mentioned that one should run
db2updv8 after installing fixpack 9 (or 9a). But there is no mention of
db2updv8 in FP9a installation readme file. Anyone know what is going on?

I just installed db2 8.2.2 on a Pentium 4 machine with 1GB mem.
I used db2licm, and db2icrt -u db2fenc db2inst as root.
then I did a mkdir /data/opldb and chowned it to db2inst1:db2 with privs
775. both db2inst and db2fenc are in the primary group db2.

I see that that DMS tablespaces using raw devices have "File System
cache" enabled by *default*. My understanding is that file system cache
is applicable only for SMS.

I issued a PRUNE HISTORY 20050819 AND DELETE and was surprised to see
that the archived log files were not physically deleted. The history
