I'm an informix newbie. So my question is very basic.
After I have backed up the logical logs how is the process of
reapplying them to the database to get it current done ? The logs have
been backed up using ontape -a

Folks,
In looking at Google groups, I see that many of us are still
struggling with compiling on Windows systems some of the best esql/c
programs from IIUG.  Things like Leffler's contributions, Art's stuff,
IDS-9.40 and i686 compatible31 Jul 2003 02:27 GMT3
I guess I can dig this info out somewhere but if you happen to know please
share what Intel/AMD processors are 'i686 compatible' ? (ie. Pentium II or
above or such)

I'm evaluating IDS 9.40.UC1E1 on Linux, specifically I was interested in
seeing how ONBAR works on this version (for backup/recovery).
I have a problem, I can backup, but a simple restore test fails.

Weird one here; this is a test case because some 4gl's we have are
behaving oddly in R4GL and IDB but *not* in i4GL.
In I4gl we get the tabname followed by a '1' or a '2' back as
expected, but in R4GL/IDB we get a -1214 NUMBER EXCEEDS LIMIT OF
