I want to do an imported restore to a system that has had ISM on it in the past. Even when I do ism_startup -init I find that all devices, policies etc are still available. I am wondering how much of the $INFORMIXDIR/ism directory I need to wipe to get rid of that

Hey... I LIKE INFORMIX! I have to put up with Oracle, MySQL, MS-SQL, and a bunch of other home grown stuff using everything from old dBase to MSAccess products... My preference is INFORMIX. Now, with all that stuff to put with, I think my loyalty to INFORMIX is pretty good, and

Has anyone done an imported restore using onbar and ISM? Apparently you can a) use onbar/Ism on one host to backup to disk b) restore onto another host (possibly without copying everything over)

Even though I haven't see OL5.x after 1994, my memories of this product has nothing but great. Superb speed, decent features. Good for workgroup type computing. Surely even now this must be better than the likes of MySQL.

We have had IDS 9.4 UC3 installed for over a year with no problems. except now Our live database errored yesterday and the client program thats uses it couldn't connect.
