How can I feeing space in a Informix Database28 Feb 2006 19:41 GMT4
I have deleted many rows in on table, but it seems that this has no
effect on the total used space by the database. So it will be in a
short time that the database is running out of free chunks in a short
time.

Is anyone out there successfully running Informix 9.4 HDR on win2k
(with tape backup or with out tape backup systems). I am getting an
error "unable to change server type" after I type "onmode -d
secondary pri_server_name".

I have the onstat -a of our the Informix Instance at the time of our
database was crashing. See below the error message we where getting
during the time of crash:-

stop after a number of SUCCESSFUL rows have been loaded?

Has anyone heard of a release date for an ADO.Net 2.0 driver for IDS
(9.40 or 10)? I have seen it mentioned in roadmap presentations, but
never with a hard release date. I would certinaly like to get started
with it.

I agree with you in gradually tuning the parameters though it's a bit
difficult because both systems are running 7x24.

We install our engine and connect in one file system and the CSDK in
it's own file system.
We do not allow anyone but the DBA to use the engine file system.
The developers would like to use dbaccess on occasion.

We're running Informix SE 7.2. What's the latest version of client SDK
that supports this standard engine version? Also, is there any other
3rd-party drivers out there that I can use?
I'm using .NET 2003 and 2005 . The current ODBC driver has lots of

I found two Solaris Database Server with IDS 9.40.FC4W2 here. The one has 32
GB RAM the other 12 GB RAM.

I've tried to run IDS 7.31 on Linux without succes. I am not a big
spec in Unixes, so I need help. Please point me a correct direction.
