I am working with Informix 7.31 and I would like to insert string data

sometetimes we're running into a strange problem:
under heavy loads a java application leaves hundreds of files named
ifxb_mainxxx. This files contains the text blob column of one of the
tables used. Somehow this files are not deleted as in normal workload.

I would like to connect using dbaccess tool to a database in another
machine. Does anybody know whether it is possible? Something like this:
dbaccess {-e} $MACHINE:$DATABASE
