Yesterday I configured an instance of IDS 9.3 on RedHat and changed the
shared libraries base address, so now I'm using over 2GB of shared
memory for Informix with one million buffers

Wondering if Informxi 10 supports any type of data encryption natively?
If so, what are the types (column level, table level etc..) and  what are
some of the caveats assocaited with it's use?

I can see how to select a compiler when compiling ESQL/C but how do I
specify the compiler (not esql's) options.
E.G I have this in my Makefile for a C program

I have an exsisting 4GL program which does a simple data dump, but I
would like to manipulate one feild in the dump by using the replace
function as in SQL. But this doesn't work within 4GL. Does any one have
a workaround?
