Sorry for my English, is very poor.
I have a problem when try to link a server informix in sql server. I
have this linked server for ODBC, but the speed is bad. Then i want to
link the server with OLEDB, i have installed "IBM Informix Client-SDK

Ibm x3800 with xeon 7130N or x3650 with xeon x5365. Database server is
IDS 9.4 or IDS Express 10.

how can I determine the IDS server version from a SQL query? I'm
looking for something similar to @@VERSION in SQL Server for example.

The customer is running an old version of IDS, restricted to 2GB
dbspaces. We are going to upgrade once the current development work
is live, my inclination is to go to the latest version. The box is
running Solaris 8 and has SPARC processors (it's not actually a Sun),
