I have problem with PAM (Pluggable Authentication Module).
I have IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.UC8 on Solaris 9.
I can't to adapt Informix for users authorization by PAM.

Considering the following piece of code:
revoke all on testTable from public;
create role hrrole;
grant insert on testtable to hrrole;

I have a simple question.
Can backup using two different tools run together. It can run for
sure, I know.
However question is will there be any conflict if we have to restore?

I upgraded to FC9 due to sequencial scan errors on FC6.  I am now
getting OBDC errors when trying to connect.  Does anyone have any
ideas?

I have to deliver an unload-like file from a query
with many DECIMAL data, but they require that numbers
be rounded and be shown with no period. But when I use
unload the final file shows "250.0" instead of "250",

with linux (different distro) backspace key in a 4gl form is going
backward but doesn't erase.
i use termcap with kb=^h.
i have open a case with ibm. if somebody get a workaround  or face the

temp table looks almost similar.
But if it's similar, there's no reason to have both.
So, can someone please enlighten me on the differences between scratch

I was trying to run a SYSTEM command inside a procedure and its called
in a trigger and the procedure runs but crashes where the SYSTEM

Does anyone know of software that will move data in real time, either
based on triggers or reading the Informix Log, besides Replicate1 or
IBM's DataMirror (which apparently does not even work with Informix).

Is there any way to kill a running update statistics.

I tried with with onstat -z several times but it runs and runs and seems to
do nothing anyway.

i'm looking for an easy way to switch the role of primary and

By default the user informix is in the admiistrators group, which is a
security hole. if somebody compromises the database he will an
administrative account for the whole server.
My question is how do I run Informix IDS (10) when the informix user
