Ik have some trouble installing Ingres II 2.5 on a Windows 2003
server.
Does anyone know why Ingres doesn't install corectly? Is Ingres II 2.5
supported on a Windows 2003 server?

All I want for Christmas...
...is for Ingres Development to write a special schema record to the log
(and ultimately to journal) file whenever a table is DROPped.
That way, auditdb has a hope in hell of generating the correct "Record

connects to a remote dB through a vnode connection.  Within the perl

Do you have optimize-statistics on the tables? In our installation we have
seen,
that in some cases Ingres choose a very bad query plan, if the statictics
are not permantently

Where can I find the advantages and disadventages of ingres, or the
features?

We've just updated our server with patch 8172 and when we try to build an
ABF application using imageapp, we get the errors below.  I can't find any
help on it from the WEB and CA haven't got back to us yet on it so if anyone
has any ideas that would be great.  We're running Ingres ...

I wonder if indexes will be used when running a query that contains upper
function, example:
select * from mytable where upper(myfield) = 'ABC'

We want to move to Ingres 2.6 on Solaris 9.
What the requirements are for the database server - cache, RAM, HD?
And besides requirements, what you  recommendations are?
I am not sure which of  SunFireV120, SunFire V210, SunFire V240 to chose.
