The company I work for is currently considering moving from an Ingres on Sparc/Sun platform to an Ingres on Intel/Linux platform.  Mostly for hardware cost to performance ratio reasons.
Has anybody got any good or bad experience running Ingres on Linux?
It looks great in the ...

system_maxlocks20 May 2004 00:21 GMT1

from Ingres).  Wojtek in fact just did a presentation to the ...

Environment: Ingres II (2.0) on AIX

Comparisons between Ingres and the others12 May 2004 18:59 GMT3
Does anyone know of where I can find some comparisons between ingres, MSSQL,
oracle etc. I'm looking for benchmarks, capabilities etc. I've got some of my
own but they are pretty biased. (guess which way?)
Reason is two fold. 1) when talking to clients, it is nice to be able to ...
unloaddb taking too long.12 May 2004 09:36 GMT1
We have a database that we believe is taking far too long to unload. We do
a weekly "unloaddb -c" on this database and it is now taking over an hour
and a quarter as opposed to the several minutes the rest of our similarly
sized databases take to unload. The thing that separates ...
