EDBC performance27 Jun 2004 23:40 GMT2
I am using the EDBC JDBC driver to connect to Ingres 2.6 running on
Solaris. Moving the cursor through the resultset for a simple select
by calling the next() method is taking an unusually long time - 1.5

Empty emails arriving on Google groups23 Jun 2004 14:51 GMT1
I don't pretend to know how this newsgroup actually propagates mails
between the various mailing list(s)/news servers.
However on Google Groups there are *empty* emails coming in. e.g.

[Info-Ingres] test #223 Jun 2004 08:58 GMT1
Well it looks like the mailing list has unsubscribed me or something.
My post turned up in comp.databases.ingres and I got a couple of out
of office replies, though not my own message - which tells me that the
newsgroup, mailing list and gateway are all working ok.

ODBC to ingres fails22 Jun 2004 14:00 GMT1
I am having trouble linking tables in ingres ii 2.0 to access 2000 via
odbc.  The connection works in vdba/netutil/dsn but when I try to link
a table in access I get one of two errors.
Intermittently it does work when I create the link, but after that it
[Info-Ingres] Disaster Recovery Plan18 Jun 2004 01:43 GMT2
Hi gang,
It's getting close to that time of year when we test our DR plan and I'm
not happy with our current procedure.  We've always managed to recover
the database but ended up with a lot of errors when verifydb is run.  To
A Server Class Question.17 Jun 2004 10:33 GMT5
Having discovered something very interesting at the end of last week
(If you start up a DBMS server on the test installation with
NAME_SERVER set to OFF it creates a system logical defining

Ingres - Solaris or AIX?15 Jun 2004 09:58 GMT3
The powers to be at the place I work are seriously looking to change
