[Info-Ingres] Visual SQL29 Oct 2004 16:13 GMT1
Does anyone know if it's possible to use multi-transaction SQL

[Info-Ingres] Another Ingres config file question26 Oct 2004 15:58 GMT1
I wrote a small program to modify the Ingres config file in order
to implement a poor man's version of a replicator.
Pretty straight foward. One thing I do is modify all directory
path names with a new one of the same lenght. That's because each
The IUA Blackpool Conference25 Oct 2004 17:36 GMT5
Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to the IUA conference earlier in the
week, but I've been hearing fragments of a story about someone who claims to
have taken the Ingres source and managed to graft a PL/SQL clone onto it in
a matter of a few days.

On a different note is the open source Ingres license similar with other

ingres tables over multiple locations on EMC22 Oct 2004 16:28 GMT2

explain.
The site has multiple database locations for one file. But they are on
the same disk.

Hi Gang,
We're in the process of adding more storage to our system and I'm trying
to come up with a sensible use of the disks.
I'm putting ckp, dmp & jnl together on a couple of disks and spreading

access will be denied during ckpdb was running21 Oct 2004 08:44 GMT13
All accesses will be denied during ckpdb was running, right?
It will take one hour to do ckpdb for our database and it is
unacceptable if access  was rejected during the period.
Would you mind telling me how do you backup your database without
