Hi Ingres people, We run an Adv Ing 2.6 SP2 HP-UX 64-bit build on our production system. Every night I run at the same time a verifydb -mreport -sdbname "iidbdb" -odbms_catalogs on the iidbdb database.

Just wondering if there is anything similar to the oracle v$session information with ingres (some sort of generalized "select dbmsinfo" that would allow to search for the dbms parameter values during the session (lockmode level, maxlocks, etc..))

I am trying to copy a table from a text file and keep getting an erro that says "Unexpected end of user data while filling domain for ro 198". There are 197 rows in the text file so everything is processin until the end of the file. Can someone tell me how to fix this

Does anyone know the difference between the system cat tables iiintegrities and iiintegrity? Reason being I have 13 integrities in my database. select(*) from iiintegrites gives 13 where as select(*) from iiintegrity gives 14! I have no idea why. Is it some kind of

I'm sure that this has been discussed countless times, but... I need to find out what the most current Ingres client version is that works on Win2K/WinXP. I have a WinXP Pro that has Ingres II 2.6/0305 and it won't prompt me for my username/password. What version will work?

Task manager shows IVM is chewing up a huge amount of I/O. It is reproducible on WinXP and Win2000 - three different machines - with and without the Ingres DB installed. It is performing more I/O than any other process including the ingres database server. Level 1

what is the purpose of R3's databases access server? Right now, we have accessed Ingres (up to Rel. 2.6) with IngresNet, ODBC, JDBC. Will we need database access server for this? Regards
