All, I've added in the Ingres dot net providers as supplied in Ingres R3. We can write code to connect to an Ingres database fine. But within Visual Studio you can create data connections via wizards, it has a list of MS and Oracle

I still like my Ant suggestion. On their own, their insignificant but working together as a community, they form a strong partnership they exemplifies the benefits of synergy. And if you piss them off they've got a ferocious bite too!

Hi Dudes, 1. I cant work out how to run optimizedb on a specific partitioon of a table. I've read the manual, but as far as I can tell, it seems to optimize a partition is not an available option.

I have a customer running OI2 on SCO OSR5.0.5 who will be migrating to new hardware. At first blush, it was obvious to move to Ingres r3 on linux but then the idea of Solaris 10 on Intel popped up. Any comments or suggestions?

I am about to dump a complete set of OpenIngres 1.x hardcopy manuals. They're all there, including IPM, Trusted Facilities, IMS Gateway--the lot. Plus there is a set of OpenROAD manuals from the same era. In all about three shelf-feet of sequestered carbon.

Does anyone know how to manually restart the recovery server DMFRCP without having to restart Ingres? Our server is a 4CPU WIndows 2000 Server running Ingres II 2.6/0305. IVM is showing that the recovery server has mysteriously stopped.

I've just installed IngresR3 on a SUSE Linux box. I cant find the C compiler on the brat. I asked the Sysprog, and got this response... It would appear not to have a C compiler. At least I can't find
