A particular SELECT query in ISQL takes less than 1 second to return the results. However when the same query is used to insert some data into a session table in an ABF frame it takes over ten seconds.

I've been running some Ingres DBMS configurations (2.6 SP2 on HP-UX Itanium) with dbms stack_size set to 512000. The default stack_size is 65536. Does it harm not to use a multiple of 512000 ?

We've been battling a deadlock problem in II2.6 for two weeks now. We are seeing page deadlocks on the index ( there's only one ) as well as deadlocks on rows. The table has row level locking and I understand that the indexes are page level locking.

Hi Michel Shutdown the installation, move the current cooked log and cooked dual logs aside (ie. just rename them to something) then execute mkrawlog and mkrawlog -dual.

I've a production Ingres 2.6 instance with two databases, one of which is archival and only updated once per week. I've trying to do some work on the archival database, and one of my sessions has become stuck in state CS_EVENT_WAIT (LKEVENT).
