I've just become aware that all my client PC's are running an IngresII2.6 client (at best) and really will need to be upgraded to use Ingres2006 features such as the wide characters for databases that are unicode enabled or just getting VBDA to see all the catalogs and offer all ...

Hi Jim, I've never used the parameter. What sort of sizes are we talking about? database? journals? What version ingres?

Does anyone know if a tool exisits that enables you to copy out a table into Excel or Access format via ODBC connection? At the moment we have to use ISQL to either copy out the table into a text file or do a select all on the table and SH-F2 to send the query results

I have a situation where someone external to our network needs to access one of our Ingres databases through an ODBC connection. We only want to make the relevant port available through our firewall, but I don't know what it is. Can anyone tell me what port number Ingres would use

We are trying to successfully setup a number of thin clients connecting to a Windows 2003 server with terminal services. We have layered Citrix on top and would like the users to be able to connect to Ingres DBs. We've been informed that all of the users needs to be in the admin

Here's an interesting Ingres puzzle for you. We are running an IngresII 2.5 installation and an IngresII 2.0 installation on the same Reliant UNIX 5.43 server. The older software is hardly used and has not had any problems.

Hi, I just installed INGRES on my window laptop but I noticed the Remote Command does not start and display the error: E_RE0006_STARTUP_RMCMD_OBJ Cannot access the RMCMD objects. The SQL error code was -30100.
