Got an Ingres upgrade to do coming up soon - from 2.0 to 2.6 on Solaris
along with an Upgrade of OpenROAD from 3.5 (!) to 4.1 sp3

Is there a command line to reformat the log file? Not that I have something
against CBF :)

One of our meduim sized applications (2Gb DB, 100 users) clocks
up some serious numbers of lock requests, with peaks of 45,000

I know for certain that at one time modified group buffers would be written
only during a consistency point and otherwise synchronously.  I believe they
are now written during a write-behind flush too.

rules/procedure pairs to audit changes to data. This is to say that a
rule fires after an insert/update of the data and writes what amounts to
