I am absolutely new to Ingres. I have a background in Oracle and
Postgres though. The SQL does not seem that much different so I feel
comfortable. However, I am confused by the organization of some
fundamental database concepts.

I'm trying to install II 2.6 on a HPèUX box, and when selecting
"Install" on the setup screen, I'm getting the following error.
Unable to verify:
install.tar.Z

I have downloaded ingress [II] 9.0.4...but when I try to use java
JdbcInfo command
I got an error "error loading com.ingres.jdbc.IngresDriver'...should I
download a new driver?...i also set the path environment variable to

When i have to start the second iidbms(how many user  an iidbms support) and which is the best configuration with multiple dbms servers (sole_server, cache_sharing, ...) ?
