Is there any supported way to get the JDBC driver from Ingres 2006 working against the Ingres 2.6 DBMS. We'd quite like to use some of the 3.0 features in our next release, but don't want the testing overhead of upgrading the DBMS if we can help it.

Has anyone had experience of using SQLServer Reporting Services and Ingres databases. We have traditionally used Ingres (just completed the upgrade to Ingres 2006), but a few years ago SQLServer was introduced because we couldn't run some third party software on Ingres.
