I have a legacy application running for more than15 yrs. Now I am wanting to use the concept of creating multi-databses for various reasons. The problem is, 1. I have to segregate the applications to various databases.

I have a uniquely keyed btree table with 158pages. Ithas all the defaullt fillfactors etc. I have freshly modified it, I have rebuilt the stats on it. Why does the optimiser think there are only 40 pages in it?

Am I totally stoked or what! For the last two weeks I have been trying to embed one of my functions into the ingres binary by tinkering with the Opensource, OME is for pussies.

I have an Ingres 2.6 database I need to backup to tape. Which locations to I need to copy to tape to ensure that the database can be recovered? Do I only need to backup the checkpoint location(s)? Is there any need
