I have a set of queries executing for about 5-10 minutes for
reporting.  System generates exceptions very rarely.  When I check the
log messages, I found an exception saying "error opening a table
<<table name>>".

We have some optimization statistics problem.
First we run optimizedb -zk sales
But then we get this messages on every table we try to use on our
application.

Is there any way to configure Ingres so that changes to the database
can be disabled?  I have a lot of legacy (ESQL) code that needs to
operate in a passive mode sometimes.  Therefore it must read but not
write to the database.  I'd rather not have to change all the code if

I have a tablefield which gets its values from a select query, eg
tblField = select val1, val2, val3
             FROM tbl1
My problem is that in the table tbl1, val2 has 3 different values in

I am playing around with the Ingres 2006 release 3 community edition for
Linux and I couldn't find a JDBC rpm file, which I know exists for the
Enterprise edition.
Does anyone know if this component is not available in the community edition?

I'm getting an error message "ERROR [50000] [Ingres][Ingres 3.0 ODBC
Driver][Ingres 3.0]Error opening a table." on certain occations. I'm
not able to figure out on what circumstance this error araises. I
tried out many forums, but not able to find any solution for this.
