I am migrating an Access database to a set of Oracle tables.  I have
already created the Oracle tables and now need to get the data over.  I
downloaded the Oracle Migration Workbench, but it seems its a little
overkill.  The OMW assumes you haven't created the Oracle tables yet.

from Windows XP using Internet Explorer the download works, but from Linux
no matter which browser I use (for instance mozilla or firefox), I will get

I had to re-install 9ir2 on my XP box after the OS croaked and had to be
re-installed, and I just let oracle install over the existing oracle
home (c:\oracle\ora9i\)as it was all left intact. All that went ok and I
patched it up to 9.2.0.6 thinking I'll just re-create my local db ...

Can someone give me an explanation of what oracle is. What is the difference
between it and windows. Why would a company want to use Oracle? I have never
