I'm making the following select in an Oracle 9i database: select s.cusip, s.udf3, s.udf2 from trade t, security s where t.sec_sid = s.sec_sid and s.udf2 != 'CMO' and end_date >= '25-jan-05'; As expected, this does exclude records with values of 'CMO' in s.udf2

I cannot make tnsping through VPN connection. VPN is setup and I can access the files but the oracle data service is not accessible. Any tricks need here or ideas. Regards

I'm considering a move to Mac OSX at work, but I manage various Oracle Databases with Oracle Enterprise Manager Console. Is it possible to install this on OSX? I assume so since it runs in Java and works on Linux and Windows -- but I've never seen or heard of it running on OSX.

I'm using Oracle Developer 6 (forms and reports) and find that the fonts size is too small to be seen. When I use 1024x768, I can barely see the code, esp. in Plsql editor. I have no choice to switch to 800x600. Is there a way to make the fonts larger for easy viewing?

Thanks Mark. Our report is report based. However, the IT person would not update the codes for me. Therefore I cannot directly access the database. There is no place I can put DESFORMAT and DESTYPE parameters to control output format. What I can do is "READ"
