I have a question about pipelined functions. I want to write a
recursive functions that should return some records. I also would like
to write it as a pipelined functions but it doesn't work. Has someone
an example or a link for me? I succeeded to write it in PL/SQL as a

Could someone give me a clue on some data that I am seeing in Oracle
Enterprise Manager (Capacity Planner)?

when I exec a "list backup;" with RMAN the shown Size value of a backup
piece are not equal to file size of the backup piece if the filesystem.
Sometimes there are differences up to 50%.
I found no reason why both values differ, as "Size" is sometomes

We're running 817 under Solaris.
Circumstances are forcing us to drop the DRSYS tablespace. The only
thing in it is the CTXSYS schema, which was installed by a third party
and isn't required in the current version of their software. Since

It used to be a rule of thumb that one wanted no more than five or so
values in a check constraint.  Has that changed?  I am in a discussion
with a developer over this, and cannot find a reference in the doc set.

I am just learning how to use traces and TKPROF.  My problem is that it
is not giving me the explain plans (with row counts and timings) for my
SQL.  Sometimes I will get a few explain plans but typically I get
