I just started at a new company who is running Oracle 8i on Windows
2000.  I found a Temporary segment in the production data tablespace.
(I think this segment also has some corrupt data blocks).  I can't find
a way to just drop it.  I have tried to "get" smon to clean it up, but

Hi, I need to find a good sotware to manage database changes. I've used
ERWIN years ago to do reverse engineering for Informix DataBases in
order to print good looking database diagrams and other stuff, but I've
never work with oracle. Can you recomend one thatr works well with

Please look at the alert log error I got
It shows ORA-01555 but the query duration is 0 seconds. How is that
possible that query goe the error just after starting
this is Oracle 9.2.0.5 running with automatic undo with undo_retention
