In a very large scale production environment, typically how many
session might you see open on an Oracle instance at any one time?  I
know it's probably highly variable, but what's the most you have seen
it?

I'm experiencing "db file sequential/scattered waits" problems on a
8.1.7 database on a Windows server. I'm pretty new to Oracle
Administration (and to DB Administration too), however it seems altering
the number of "freelists" on specific tables and indexes could help.

I have an excel file containg a data set which I want to link to a

Can Oracle IFS do this ???20 Nov 2005 21:13 GMT1
We have an Oracle database (enterprise edition) installed in our IT

department do nothing else than making sure that it's backed up. So
we hold no in-depth knowledge about the capabilities of the database.
