I have a tablespace that apparently does not have sufficient space to
extend any further - No issue as i added a datafile to it.
Still getting the same error so i checked the freespace in the
tablespace and this is the report for that tablespace

We are looking for a new one. The one my manager like most is based on
informix/linux because of the application's functionalities. I try to
convince him that moving to informix now isn't a good idea.

We are seeing intermittent library cache pin/lock problems. The
problem occurs for about a min and then goes away. This of course
causes timeouts all over the place.
Any clue on where to start?

I'm hoping to get some insight into why oracle creates 2 cursors for
the same sql query when I execute a SELECT statement via my small
little perl script.   Here is what is happening .. My query uses 2 bind

I have a database that was installed on D:\ then the C:\ partition was
deleted and I had to re-install the oracle server. i installed oracle
9.2 the problem is that the database cannot be opened while it can be
mounted and the error I get from the log is that I have to open the

This should be easy. I read somewhere that says we are not supposed to
use normal unix command like cp, mv etc on ocfs mounted filesystem. Is
this true? I now need to remove a datafile to test backup and recovery.
How can I remove it?

server using tg4msql,as far as settings are concerned those were set
and Connectivity is working Fine, and getting the response from that
