I've installed Oracle 10G Enterprise + Client + Companion on a SuSe 9
server and none of them installed the Pro*C demo files, i.e.
ORACLE_HOME/precomp/demo/proc/demo_proc64.mk, etc.. I must recompile
our Pro*C apps and can't without these files--or I don't know how.

I thought it's mainly a matter of the operating system. but now
somebody told me, it's better to stick with IBM-servers, as they are

I have been searching about 4 weeks for an answer to resolve this
error. The error text reads, "unable to open or write to file". This is
occuring only on 4 files that are being read from the directory. From
