I've got a smallish 9.2.0.5 db that hasn't been analyzed since April
2004. How does the cost based optimizer handle old statistics? Would it
ignore and default to rule based or just use the old stats?

I'm new to Oracle and TOAD although I have years of experience with SQL

get back the results of a function, but I can't figure out how to view
