I made a table with 1 blob  field, and a specific lob tablespace to store
the lob column.
If i insert a row with nothing in the blob field, 1 MB is reserved for it in
the lob tablespace.

I'm teaching myself oracle and I am looking for some easy to follow
step by step tutorials on oracle and sql. I already found a few good
introductions which cover the basics (and possibly more) but the ones

I have huge number of data coming to my application through a bacth process
in main frame. Assuming that all this data are available in one table, I

My procedure below is failing to provide the desired result and I've

We are running Oracle RAC 10.2.0.2 and we received
a note from Oracle to apply CPU 2008 upgrade.  However,
this upgrade requires Oracle RAC 10.2.0.3.  So we are now
trying to schedule upgrade of 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.3.

We use Oracle RAC 10g on Windows. Everyone seems to complain about the
Windows aspect of it. I am just curious.. is it really a bad mix ? People
complain only because my DBAs do not come from a Windows background.
