Oracle RDBMS test26 Jul 2008 23:46 GMT3
I'm looking for any publically available SQL code set, which cover as
many Oracle RDBMS (10g or 11g) features as possible: SQL, PL/SQL, etc.
Probably, good developer can build this using Oracle RDBMS manuals,
but it is hard work.
The 20% rule26 Jul 2008 22:32 GMT13
I recently read the following in a book(oracle 9i for dummies by
Carol McCullough Dieter)
The fastest way to retrieve rows from a table is to access the row
with exact row id. An
Duplicate Rows26 Jul 2008 14:46 GMT2
I figured I'd ask this too.  I know how to remove duplicate rows from
a table, but this example used an analytical function.  I'm new to
these and do not get a huge chance to use them, so I'm always
forgetting how they work.

I'm setting up Oracle libraries in a Windows Server box so two PHP web
sites can access a remote Oracle 10g database. I've downloaded the
Instant Client *.zip package and everything works fine so far, except
for some charset issues (Spanish letters do not show properly). Setting

Migrating an Application from SQL Server 2000 to Oracle 10g24 Jul 2008 19:10 GMT25
We have an application that was written using SQL Server 2000 as the
RDBMS. We now have a need to convert this to Oracle. We know that we
obviously need to hire an Oracle DBA, but we don't have one at this
time...

comment in the documentation:
