For the last 5 days, I have been struggling with a *very* simple form.
I'm more or less convinced that it is a bug in Paradox.
I'm developing in Paradox 9, but I tested with Runtime Desktop 11 and it has
exactly the same behavior.

I'm running multiple instances of Paradox, opening a new instance from
code like this:

I want to add the string value of one field to the string value in a
second and am having difficulty getting it to work exactly as I want so
