Calendar program29 Aug 2004 19:31 GMT4
Has anyone seen a Paradox Calendar program similar to Sidekick 95?
I have a client that wants to use a similar type program on a 3 person
network. I can't get Sidekick 95 to network properly. I get out of
memory errors. Machines are Window s98 and Windows XP home.
Paradox 7 on a Windows 2003 Server27 Aug 2004 03:41 GMT2
I am looking for suggestions on how to ensure compatability for a
Paradox 7 application on a Windowns 2003 SB Server.

BDE Today ?26 Aug 2004 17:13 GMT2
It has been a while since I haven't used BDE. What is the state of BDE
today ? Is it still developped and officialy supported ? (As far as I
remember, developpement was supposed to be dropped).
Is it still a Borland product, or is it from Corel now ?
Paradox 8, MS SQL 2000 and Windows Server 200326 Aug 2004 17:04 GMT11
We have a vendor that is using Paradox 8 to access a MS SQL 2000
database on a server that we just migrated to Windows Server 2003
(from Wiindows 2000 Server). We have started to get the following
error periodically on the local workstation while using their program:
Reading data from a Paradox application25 Aug 2004 16:54 GMT2
Hi! I have a demo of a 'proprietary' application that I have to
analyse and compare with our current solution. The application itself
looks nice, but I want to take a look at its underlying database's
structure to see how well it matches with our (well, those of the
Interative Query using CALC and then displaying answer table based on range of calculation25 Aug 2004 15:53 GMT17
I am using the interative query since I am not using variables and don't
need to build a query on the fly.
I have a table  with two date fields and I need to calulate the number of
days between them divided by 30 to get number of months.  I then want to

TechTips:  What "Pack Table" Does23 Aug 2004 18:52 GMT7
When you restructure a table, you've noticed the "Pack Table" checkbox.
Some people click it religiously; some never do.  What does it do and when
should you use it?
A Paradox table consists of a family of files, all named after the table

Where can I get pdoxusrs.net20 Aug 2004 03:14 GMT6
Don't tell me my application will create it because it don't. It just
complains because it can't find it.
The vendor of the application doesn't have a clue either.
Where can I get the file named pdoxusrs.net?
Paradox820 Aug 2004 03:09 GMT6
We have 18 pc's on a peer to peer.  The Paradox8 tables, forms,
queries and reports are all on a server Pent IV pc with 512 RAM using
Windows98se O/S.  Each workstation is a Pent IV using Windows98se.  I
would like to install Win2000pro on each workstation.  The server will
TechTips: How much can a table (really) hold?14 Aug 2004 15:06 GMT2
You've got 1,000,000 records to process.  Each record is 140 bytes long.
Will it fit?  Let's find out.
* STEP ONE:  BEST-CASE CALCULATIONS
There are several basic "ground rules" in the Paradox table format:
TechTips: Handling "logging in" in Paradox12 Aug 2004 19:07 GMT4
Many applications need to restrict access to a selected group of users, and
also need to limit what those users are able to do to the tables.  In the
case of (non-runtime) Paradox applications, where direct table-views are
essentially "always possible," this security control scheme ...
PDOX DOS 4.5 - User w/o Doc needs to restore old application12 Aug 2004 18:35 GMT8
I have a P45 application that was archieved w/o the autoexec.bat and

Dual Processors11 Aug 2004 00:46 GMT3
I have a question, but I think I already know the answer.  Is there any
setting within Paradox (7/32) or the BDE to take advantage of dual
processors?  Or would that be strictly a setting on the machine?  I ask
because there is a situation with Paradox running in a Citrix ...
