Force Pervasive log out?31 Jan 2004 18:07 GMT1
Overnight we run a Kewill MAX MRP Calculation, which sometimes
experiences problems if people are still logged into MAX. Does anyone
know a method to automatically force a logout from MAX, or forcibly
close a Pervasive connection?
Missing INDEX.DDF28 Jan 2004 11:30 GMT9
In response to our request, one of our vendors has recently
provided us with DDFs for an old btrieve database/application.
The rep tells us that he is using a proprietary tool for generating
DDFs.  Unfortunately, his tool doesn't seem to generate an
Remote Performance Issues21 Jan 2004 14:19 GMT4
Good afternoon, gents.
I've got a non-interactive BTrieve application.  It basically parses
through a file and throws what it sees into the BTrieve database.  Less
than 50 records get handled in all.
Recognize problem21 Jan 2004 11:07 GMT1
I have some files with the extensions: mdb (with data), def (probably
with definitions of sth) and ndx (with indices). I guess it might be
BTrieve-like database. I'm trying to recognize what kind of driver is
required to retrieve the data or at least to see the structure and so
RE Pervasive System error and Continuous Ops20 Jan 2004 19:34 GMT2
I have a site running P2000 SP2a and am trying to figure out the best way to
manage backups.  Please see options below.  Has anyone had any experience
with problems caused by stopping pervasive services with users possibly
logged on?
Simultaneous NT Server and Novell on same PC20 Jan 2004 05:23 GMT1
My company is converting from Novell servers to NT servers over the course
of a few weeks.  Is it possible to run Pervasive clients in both an NT

I have a client running Pervasive 2000 SP2 on a Win2000 Server.  Every few
weeks the NTDBSMGR will hang, taking 100%CPU and stopping users access.
Stopping and Starting pervasive services will only fix the problem fro a
short period.  Rebooting server will fix it for a few weeks.  ...

psql version 716 Jan 2004 02:13 GMT1
Does version 7 run on a Windows 2003 Small Business Server or are there
problems. I know that this version is not supported by pervasive but does it
work. The clients will be XP workstations.
Convert function15 Jan 2004 23:40 GMT3
According to the Pervasive.SQL V8 documentation, the "type" parameter of the
CONVERT function is an ODBC type.
When doing a CONVERT, is the kernel executing the function, or is ODBC?
I'm having a bit of a problem with a CONVERT(string, SQL_DATE) on a
Windows aplication and btrieve (NetWare nlm)15 Jan 2004 22:56 GMT1

btrieve files located on Netware 3.12 server (I load server by starting
btrieve.nlm and bspxcom.nlm - it's not Pervasive)
How could I make connection to these files.
Btrieve with Pervasive SQL15 Jan 2004 18:38 GMT2
I have a Btrieve file that I want to access using both the Btrieve API
and SQL queries. (I have an old 16-bit app and a new app that access
the same 'tables').  It looks like the SQL engine inserts an extra
byte between integer fields and char fields, so that the data don't

When I start getting more complicated with a column formula in a SELECT
Pervasive tutorials and/or info12 Jan 2004 16:06 GMT2
I've recently had to take over support of a product that uses
Pervasive and know nothing about it.  Setting up databases in the
Control Panel, for instance, mystifies me.  Is there a good location
for tutorials or basic info that will help me understand what's going
