I'm calling a program that passes a date as a parameter into another
program. The date passes through o.k., but I'm having trouble
assigning it to a date variable once passed through. I use parameters
frequently, but not for dates.

Can anyone tell me what Server Platforms (O/S's) that Progress 8 or 9 will
run on, and which is preferred.
I am new to the Progress world, and we are looking to purchase soon.

(Using Progress 8 CHUI).
When a message such as
"cust in use by xxxxxxx on ttyp2. Wait or press CTRL-C to stop."
occurs, I can suppress it by using

We start our application via precompiled runtime.r module ('-p
runtime.r' within .pf file), calling then the main startup

I have see such a message:
Databse dbname.db is not properly closed, command ignored.

When I try to run even the simplest of queries I get this error:-

I get the following error after 100 INSERT.
This happens only if the table has a memo, and whichever of the autocommit mode.

Your help would be appreciated by a newbie at the Library of Congress,
where we keep track of books, which are stored off-site, using Progress.
When attempting a prorest, I encountered error 1052.  I don't know why:
