I'm trying to write a piece of progress code that will automatically create a separate text file for each record in a table. The code is something like the code at the bottom of this posting but it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong.

What options are there for downloading files off the internet without user interaction !? Are there any os-commands ? applications ? interfaces ? control objects ? maybe through ftp or web browser ?

We have a server on Linux SuSE 8. 1Go memory and 2 procs AMD 1.2 Go Disks scsi raid 5. I have every week some performance issue with my databases.
