I'm looking for the maximal length of the SQL statement allowed in the
Sybase Adaptive Server. I can't find it specified in any Sybase
documentation. Can anyone please let me know what the limit is or let
me know where to find the limitation documented?

Just double-checking before I book this exam. On Prometric's website, it
says that 510-020 is "Adaptive Server Enterprise Administrator Assoc.
Certification". I'm assuming it's the 12.5 exam but I dont like the word
Associate in there. They wouldn't be giving the old format ...

Does anyone receive the following error message when trying to
configure DB Xray for ASE?
It reads as follows:

I have this problem :
I tried dump tran Mydb with no_log and get this in error log.
Attemp by user 1 to dump xact on db Mydb with no log.
I have two server with ASE and RS 11.5.1 .Data and log on the same segment.

I'm not familiar with the sybase web site, and I've been trying to
find information about 10.x on how to administer that version of the
database.  I know I saw something like that about 2 years ago.

Greetings. I have a question regarding database dumping.
We had some weird issues on our Sybase database lately.  One of them
was that the trans log was full, do I did a dump transaction...with
truncate_only. Cleared up the problem.

After upgraded from Powerbuilder 6.5 to Powerbuilder 9, some of the result
sets cannot be fetched with SQLCode=-1, SQLDBCode=2, and SQLErrText= " ".
There is no any problem when those stored procedures executed and fetched in
Powerbuilder 6.5.

I have a few questions in regards to Sybase, which I'm not very
familliar with, can someone please help

1. How can I extend 'master','tempdb', and other system databases?
2. I did the following to resize the existing device(belong to 'indx'
database) from 250M to 500M on the fly:

Environment
AIX 4.3.3
Sybase 12.5.0.1
Disks reside on a EMC disk farm

I have a query on a large table (over 100 million rows). The where
clause of this query is based on the date range and a flag field. The
date field is indexed. The flag field is not index column and the
value is either '0' or '1'.  Any suggestion to improve the query

How can I get query plan from database ASE 12.5
In ASA database it is: SELECT PLAN ('query')

Solaris 2.5.1
Sybase 11.0.3
Rep-server 11.0.3

how can I get the size of a table in a sybase database ASE 12.0.0.4?
