Dear Experts,
I inherited a script written long ago and the first line is to check
is the Sybase server in the single user mode or not. I personally
never make this test, but may be I am wrong.

I store the content of files using sql query "insert ...". With small
files all is ok. But I can not to insert big files into table. I have
error to increase the procedure cash. I did it, but it has no effect.
May be, there are many ways how to insert file to database. Can

Dear Experts,
I need a new user to be created with a read only access to some tables
and no access to all other objects. My DBA told me it is impossible in
Sybase because all new users belong to the "public" group which has a

We experienced a problem last night , the filesystem where are written
SYBASE logfiles has been filled up by another process in debug mode.
Since this moment we are not able to cleanly shutdown the ASE server
it says it cannot shutdown because another shutdown is in progress ...

I'm facing issue with rounding of any float value. These are the two
ways I tried, both gave different results.
The method 1 doesn't do the rounding. why is that so?
Can anybody please throw some light on this issue?
